about Workshop
Code Nigeria is a CsFirst Lagos Edu Consult's project driven by passion for training and supporting teachers, students and youths to become future ready through the development of long-term solutions and educational projects that are future relevant and benefitting children, youths and adults.
It is designed to train and support Primary and Secondary schools on coding and digital skills for the future ready generation. The focus of this project will be to organize training and workshops for students and teachers across 10 major remote cities in 4 regions in Nigeria. To be future ready, young kids, adults and youths should be able to use coding, digital and core analytical skills to solve problems, build programs, solutions and industries that will change Nigeria and impact the world. It depends on the young people of today, and it is important that we develop this talent while it is young to ensure that we do not lose it later.
This project as we believe, will effectively and radically change the future of the current education system in Nigeria through enabling our students to become part of a global campaign that will see them being able to compete with the best of the best around the world particular at the annual do your :bit challenge.
Code Nigeria:
• Is a campaign that raises awareness for the need of coding in schools.
• encourages pupils/students to learn to code.
• prepares pupils and students for local and international programming competitions.
• provides pupils and students the opportunity to win prizes, devices and scholarship.
Code Nigeria is designed to encourage and empower pupils and students with the power to create their future through Coding and Digital skills. The project is primarily going to equip the next generation to think more computational in order to solve global problems. It's proudly sponsored by Micro:bit Educational Foundation.
